Steven Craig Buddin, age 80, passed away on November 7, 2025. He was born on August 24,1945 in Keokuk, Iowa and was the child of Eugene D. Buddin and Jane Jackson. Steve was a veteran of the army serving from April 13, 1966 to March 24, 1968.
Steve moved to central Texas in 1975 and worked for Otis Elevator Service. He became involved in the horse industry as an auctioneer and became a show steward managing many Class A, Regional, and National Championship shows, most of them in the Arabian Horse Association Industry. As an auctioneer, he helped raise funds for the Region 9 AHA Youth Foundation Scholarship Program which awards scholarships to students in need. He received his highest honor in 2019 from Region 9 Arabian Horse Association, The Jake Hoover Volunteer Service Award.
Steve is survived by daughter Kristin Buddin, stepson Michael Winans and stepdaughter Elizabeth Paige Winans. He was proceeded in death by his wife Peggy Jean Buddin.
Steve will be missed by all those who knew him.
