Clarence Weckwerth

Clarence Howard Weckwerth, age 93, of Wells, MN, died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 15, 2018, at 11:00 AM Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, with Pr. Paul Woolverton officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be at Dunbar Memorial Cemetery, Minnesota Lake Township, Faribault County, MN. Clarence Howard was born December 29, 1924, in Dunbar Township, Faribault County, MN, the son of Paul and Irene (Nehring) Weckwerth. He was united in marriage to Marian Holan October 22, 1946 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, MN. He lived and farmed his entire life on the family farm, until his failing health forced him to retire. Clarence loved to go fishing, and would fish any time of year, including ice fishing in the winter. He enjoyed dancing to old time music with his wife, Marian. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Lorraine Kent. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marian of Wells, MN; children: Dennis (Donna) Weckwerth, and Larry (Jill) Weckwerth all of Wells, MN; 5 grandchildren: Scott Weckwerth of Eagle Lake, MN, Stacey (Lance) Stenzel of Mankato, MN, Mike (Clover) Weckwerth of Apple Valley, MN, Eric (Kristin) Weckwerth of Rochester, MN, Guy (Kaitlin) Weckwerth of Akeley, MN; 12 great-grandchildren: Kylie Weckwerth of Duluth, MN, Jadyn Weckwerth of Eagle Lake, MN; Leah and Mason Stenzel of Mankato, MN; Sarah and Chase Weckwerth of Apple Valley, MN; Reid, Brennan, Kate and Griffin Weckwerth of Rochester, MN; Brady and Adelyn Weckwerth of Akeley, MN.
