Claretha Campbell Hinson 'Clare', went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2025.

A Time to Love
Clare was united in marriage to Andrew Hinson on November 3,1978. Clare was a member of Pleasant Grove AME Zion Church in Charlotte, NC and Saint Paul's Church in West Chester, PA until she transitioned. She was also a member of several organizations: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Links Inc., Charmettes, and The Yaya Sisters. Clare was very passionate about her family, teaching us all to say "I love you" at the end of every conversation and affectionately responding by saying "I love you more". She loved decorating for EVERY holiday and was the life of the party. Clare often reflected on her siblings and the wonderful times they spent together. She never missed calling her siblings every single day. So many great memories were made. Clare was the rudder that navigated our family ship and the glue that kept us together. She was a loving mom, mom–mom, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend that will be missed by all who knew her. She had longtime friendships with Bertha Williams, Louise Pierce,
Betty Phillips, Alberta Thomas, Ellen Rush and Clara 'Pat' Clark Taylor. Clare was loved and respected by family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 46 years Andrew Hinson, her sisters Gwen Williams (Ted) of Lutz, FL; Annette Hawkins (André) of Port St. Lucie, FL; Sheryle Wilkerson (Willie) Lutz, FL; her brothers James G.
