Clarice Coughlin

Clarice Coughlin, fondly known as "Chris" to her friends, passed from this life to her Eternal Heavenly home on Monday, November 11, 2024, in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in 1940 in Aurora, Illinois. She was the only child of Ann and Clarence Slover. She moved with her parents to Florida and attended Northeast High School in St. Petersburg, FL where she met and married her high-school sweetheart, Augustine "Mike" Coughlin. She ran her own business as a talented dressmaker and seamstress for many years. Chris retired with her husband to Ocala, FL in 1997. They were very involved members of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala. She was a devoted wife of 58 years, a beautiful and much-loved mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend.
Chris is survived by their three children, Douglas, Tamra and Mariann, and her seven grandchildren.
Clarice's beautiful voice, compassionate spirit, and joyful smile will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A memorial Mass will be held for her at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Friday, November 15th at the 8:30 AM. A small gathering will be held at their home following the service for family and close friends.
