Clarice Glazner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Buchanan Funeral Service on Oct. 21, 2024.
Clarice Evelyn Smelley Glazner, passed away peacefully in her home October 16, 2024 at the age of 93 years. Clarice was born June 23, 1931 in Fort Worth, TX. She was married to the love of her life, Ralph Glazner, for two days shy of 68 years before his passing in 2022. Clarice graduated from Aledo High School, TX in 1948. She worked several jobs during and after her school years. She met her future husband while bookkeeping for a gas station. After their marriage, she was a full-time wife and mother of three boys while also helping with Cub Scouts and volunteering at their church. Once the sons were out of the house, she began her many years of volunteer service with Deaconess Hospital where she made many lifelong friends. A nickname given to her by her father as he bounced her on his knee was "Totsy". Many in her family only know her by that name. She was also known as C.E. when her husband was giving her a hard time and called mom or momma by her sons. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always have a Meme in their memories. Ask any of the family a favorite memory and it will likely involve food, especially holiday meals. She worked for days to plan and prepare everyone's favorite dishes and each food had its own special dish to be served in. The red mixing bowl was the only container suitable for the orange jello salad. She is survived by a brother, Donald and sister, Sally and their families as well as her three sons, Ralph Jr. (Debbie), Mike (Kelly) and Steve. There are seven grandchildren, Dana (Brian) Raynard, Jody (Chuck) Dow, Ross (Taylor) Glazner, Neal (Sutton) Glazner, Allie (Craig) Calvert, Nick Glazner, and Branden Kenney. The family tree continues to grow with great grandchildren, Conlin, Tyson, Easton, Finnegan, Casen, Judah, Carter, Titus and coming in 2025 Cord Allen. Service will be Saturday, October. 26 with 11:00-1:00 for visitation with funeral following. Buchanan Funeral Service is located 8712 N. Council Road, OKC, OK.
