Born on July 31, 1960 in Emporia, KS, he was the son of the late Lloyd Merscham and Mavis Kimmell Merscham. Clay worked as a metal smith mechanic and engineer for NASA for over 35 years. He truly loved his job and was a caring, giving and one-of-a-kind person.
Other than his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cassandra Savannah and husband, Jess of Nassawadox; a son, Alberto Merscham and wife, Nitaya of Riverton, Utah; a sister, Cheryl Gartin of Wichita, KS; and two grandchildren, Elijah Savannah and Silas Savannah.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 28th, at 7pm from the Thornton Funeral Home.
Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley, VA.
