David Wade Hart, Jr., 35, of Saxis, passed away on August 2, 2025 in Saxis, VA.

Born on June 28, 1990 in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of David Wade Hart, Sr. and Beverly Linton Hart. David was a waterman and a member of the Bayside Community Church in Pocomoke. David loved sports, especially football and was an avid Ravens fan. An easy-going, kind and gentle soul, he always saw the good in others.

Other than his parents, David is survived by his brothers, Daniel Hart and wife, Daniela and their daughter, Luna of Saxis and Ethan Hart of Onancock; grandparents, Linda and Barry Linton of Saxis and Arnold Spence of Fairmount, MD; aunts and uncles, Andrew and Holly Linton and their son, Drew, Keith Hart and his son, Lawrence (Megan) and their children, Sadie and Bodie, and Laurie Ann Hart.

David was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vivian Leigh Spence.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM from Groton's Cemetery in Hallwood with Rev. Bob Boyce officiating.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Colony of Mercy, https://bethelcolony.org/help-support-our-ministry/ or Bayside Community Church, P.O. Box 627, Pocomoke, MD 21851.

Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Parksley, VA.
