Sarah was a CNA for over 40 years and worked at Accomack County Nursing Home, Pat's Home for the Elderly, Shore Home Health and Shore Hospice. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Peggy Frock, Shirley Sterling, Ada Killmon, Jessie Swift, Elmer "Tug" Cullen, Paul Cullen, Baby Ola Cullen, Hampton Wade "Junie" Cullen, Jr., Bobby Cullen and Mary Lou Hill.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley with Rev. Jonathan Carpenter officiating.
