Claude Edward Lovett, lovingly known as “Eddie,” passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, at the age of 73. He was the cherished son of the late Claude Arthur Lovett and Agnes Irene Lovett.
Graveside service: A service to honor and celebrate Eddie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 at East Greenwood Cemetery, 500 East Front Street, Weatherford. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and remember a life well lived.
He was the loving husband of the late Linda Marlene Lovett, whom he cherished and to whom he dedicated his life.
A proud Marine Corps veteran, Eddie honorably served his country with courage and dedication during the Vietnam campaign. His service instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, resilience, and loyalty that carried throughout his life. After returning from service, he worked for General Motors until his retirement.
Eddie is survived by his siblings, Ruby Stout, Reba Boyer, and Howard Lovett, whom he loved and thought about often.
He was the proud father of Chad Alan Lovett and Jennifer Lynn Lovett, and a devoted grandfather to Ganen Lovett and Nathen Lovett, as well as step-grandchildren Henderson and Anna Phung, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Eddie will be remembered for his talent for working with his hands. He found joy in repairing cars and tackling household projects, always ready to lend his skills to help family and friends. Whether under the hood of a car or fixing something around the house, Eddie’s hard work and generosity left a lasting mark. His legacy of love, service, and strength will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
