Claude Shelby "Pete" Peters

Claude Shelby "Pete" Peters, age 85, of Del Rio, Texas, entered into rest on November 14, 2025. He was born on April 14, 1940 in Charleston, West Virginia.
Pete was a proud retired veteran who served his country with honor in the United States Air Force. Above all, he deeply loved his family, who brought him much joy throughout his life. His legacy of love, strength, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Sylvia and Claud Peters; uncles, Carlos Peters and Harlos Peters;
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Rosalyn Peters of Del Rio; children: Cindy Dunlap (Dennis Dunlap) of Del Rio; James Peters (Tammy Peters) of Manassas, VA, and Julia Kirk (Ken Kirk) of Castroville, TX; brother, Eddie Adams (Libby Adams) of Princeton, West VA; Claude leaves behind a large and cherished family, including his grandchildren: Ryan Dunlap (Hope Dunlap), Amber Poe (Brian Poe), Dylan Talamantez (Ashley Talamantez), Shelby Marcey (Dan Marcey), Kylie Ray (David Ray), Lance Young (Evan Estrada), Austin Kirk, and Addison Kirk; great-grandchildren: Grayson Dunlap, Jake Poe, Cindy Dunlap, Camille Dunlap, Jackson Poe, Savannah Marcey, Ryker Talamantez, Everly Talamantez, Jaylen Ray, and Caroline Marcey; Claude is also survived by many nieces, nephews other close relatives and friends.
A private family service and burial will take place.
