We send our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Bill and Jan. Although I never got the chance to meet Mr. Stephens, he must have been a great man to have raised my Uncle Bill, who is undoubtedly the best uncle on the planet.

My Uncle Howard, My hunting buddy for years and then my cowboy action shooting buddy. It was always hard to think of him as being old. If I was ready to do something he was too. I will miss him greatly. RIP. At last my brother.

William and Jan, We are saddened to hear of Uncle Howard passing. We will miss his stories and his music. We are happy that we got to spend time with he and Aunt Hazel.
I will always remember the last time we went to Rosine with him. I went into the barn with him and he proceeded to walk upon the stage. The group playing stopped and introduced him and asked what he wanted to sing . He sang his favorite "Okie" and "The Key's in the Mailbox ".
We will miss him! God Bless you, Love Sharlene and Jerry

Sorry to hear about Mr. Stephens passing. He is up there with Jesus now, and my Mom and Dad. I sharpened his chainsaw several times a few years ago. (Ed's Sharpening Service).

I am sorry to see that uncle Howard had passed, he was my favorite and the last sibling of that generation. I, have not so favorable, memories of my one and only coon hunt with him, we sat on wet logs, which seemed like eternity, while the dogs ran around trying to locate and tree the coon; when they did we tracked them down and uncle Howard shot it. My job was to carry this dead animal back to the truck, it must have been five miles and the coon was enormous. I don't know if coon season was in or not.
He was a good and caring man that would do anything for anyone.
