Claudia M. Winrod, 93, formerly of Gnadenhutten passed away at Brewster Parke Senior Living Community on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Born in Trieste, Italy on October 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Maria (Clec) Suz. She married Dean Winrod in August of 1966, he passed away in 1994.
Claudia was a member of the Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship Church, and worked at McDonald's in Bolivar for 22 years. She enjoyed doing a variety of crafts and appreciated all flowers. Her greatest joy was being around people, she never met a stranger.
She is survived by her daughter Dorothy "Beth" (David) Dearth of Massillon; daughter-in-law Wendy Witham of Gnadenhutten; step children Dennis (Linda) Winrod of Westerville, and Cynthia Mangus of Florida; grandchildren Brian, Doug, Dawn, and Chad; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces including Liliana Suz of Italy and Sandy Ritter of Bolivar who were like daughters.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a brother Luigi Suz; sons Richard Witham, Gilbert Lindsay and Terry Witham; and grandsons Devin Dearth and David Dearth.
In honoring Claudia's wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship Church at 132 Kutcham Drive, Uhrichsville, OH 44683 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jimmy officiating. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in New Philadelphia beside her husband at a later date.
