Clayton Berry was born on January 2, 1943, in Pike County Alabama, and passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Anelia Johnson Berry and his mother, Louise Shiver.
He was an active member of Hamilton Crossroads church of Christ for most of his life. He was an avid Auburn football fan, but his greatest joy was teaching and working with young people. He spent 30 years either as a teacher or a principal in schools in Alabama and Georgia. He was also proud of the time he served his country in the US Army and the National Guard of Alabama for eight years.
A private family service will be held at Green Hills Cemetery in Troy on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Berry family.
