Clayton J. Michaud, 54, of Hudson, NH, passed away on September 8, 2025 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire. Born on July 30, 1971, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he was the cherished son of Jacques and Huguette (Desjardins) Michaud.

Clayton is the beloved husband of Kim (Simard) Michaud, with whom he shared over 23 years of marriage and countless memories. A proud graduate of Salem High School in Salem, NH, Clayton followed his passion for cars and turned it into a lifelong career. For over 30 years he worked as a mechanic, later owning and operating Clayton's Auto Repair for many years in Hudson, NH, where he became a trusted figure in the community-not just for his mechanical skills, but for his warmth, humor, and big-hearted generosity.

Clayton had an unstoppable love for anything with an engine-whether it was fast, loud, new, or vintage. He was especially fond of motorcycles and muscle cars, and he was rarely seen without one of his signature Hawaiian shirts. His laugh was as big and infectious as his personality, and he brought joy and energy to every room he entered.

A lover of antiques, collectibles, and all things unique, Clayton had an eye for the past and a heart full of love for the present. He adored animals, especially the family's beloved dogs, who were always close by his side.

Above all, Clayton will be remembered as a kind and generous man who gave freely of his time, his talents, and his heart. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched-with a wrench in one hand, a joke in the other, and a smile that could light up a garage.

In addition to his wife Kim, Clayton is survived by his step children Corryn McCloskey and her husband Dan of Bolingbrook, IL and Jillian Spellacy and her husband Matthew of Palatine, IL; his six grandchildren Hunter, Camden, Ryker, Lane, Fiona, and Rosalia; his brother Kevin Michaud and his significant other Christine Cort of Salem, NH; his parents Jacques and Huguette Michaud of Salem, NH; in-laws Donald and Cecile Simard of Hudson; sister-in- law Robin Simard or Limerick, ME and her two sons Ryan Gutowski and his wife Sarah and their children Greyson and Owen of Dover, NH and Adam Gutowski and his wife Jocelyn of TX; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and endless dear friends.
