Many years ago Clayton and I carpooled together to salt Lake. Mary rode along with us and was dropped off to her school. To fill the time we played a game of I spy to forsythia, and yelled out every time we saw those pretty yellow flowers. It was a silly game but certainly helped pass the time.. Also Clayton always had a different way of driving. He knew of many "short cuts" whether they were longer of shorter, in mileage or time was often questionable! But it was always fun!

Condolences to the entire Palmer family. Clayton was a close friend and important figure in the lives of my older brothers David and Frank. Thank you all for the beautiful words and memories shared at his service.

I may show up in this forum as my AKA (Floyd) because of a long career in law enforcement (being careful) , but this is actually your classmate Brandon Anderson. I remember Clayton quite well, and we were probably friends enough to say hello in the halls of Highland High regularly. But reading his obit, and so many others since I re-connected to this group (and so deeply regret not attending the reunion), made me realize what good friends we might have been. I'm sorry we didn't know each other better, Clayton. Maybe it's not too late, who knows what's coming.

I knew Clayton because we were both in the same mission in Brasil.... 1973 to 1975.

I met Clayton through my friendship with Susie. She is one of my dearest and long time friends. I remember her telling me about him when she first met him, she fell head over heels. My daughter is the same age as Sarah so we spent a lot of time together when the girls were younger. I treasure those days.
Clayton and I also shared a connection to the Uintah Basin. I knew his grandmother, who was the most lovely person and was so well thought of in our community. When I learned that she was his grandmother I knew that he was a good one and I was so happy for my dear friend.
My memories of Clayton are so happy. The joking, singing and always being upbeat and positive.
I had great respect for his parenting. He was loving, gentle and pedagogical. He displayed such patience as a father. I have so much respect for him.
These last few years I would seek out his advice professionally. I´ve come to rely on Clayton for his perspective on many topics, he was extremely intelligent, well read and I trusted his insight. I can´t express how much I´m going to miss having him as my resource.
Susie, I love you so big!
Sarah, Kate and Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. You had one of the best dad´s ever.
Much love and prayers to all you and the entire Palmer family.
