Hello Dear ones, it's Cleone here. I was born on a sunny day, September 2, 1934, in
Ogden, UT. My parents, Virgie and Benjamin Manning, blessed me with a wonderful childhood in Hooper. From there, life took me on a journey to Roy and finally, to West Haven, Utah, where I spent my golden years. Along the way, I fell in love and married my dear Henry Moore on June 16, 1955. We built a life together, made memories, and raised our beautiful children, Blair (Peggy), Karen (Bob), and De Ann (Kevin). As I look back, I realize that what mattered most to me was the time spent with my family, the love we shared, and the bonds we built.
In my professional life, I was a dedicated worker in manufacturing including Hobart, Max Factor, and many years at Kraft. But what truly fulfilled me was serving in the Primary for many years while my children were growing up. I found comfort and guidance in the teachings of the Latter-Day Saints. As said in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." This is a verse that I held dear to my heart, and it gave me strength and direction throughout my life.
As I look down from heaven, I am comforted to see my wonderful grandchildren, Jenny, Shayne, Travis, Tori, Laci, Brock, Ana, and Maddy and their spouses. But most of all my precious GG's (great-grandchildren), Bailey, Shad, Briggs, Mailee, Ruby, Arthur, Josie, Kord, Tucker, Bradon, Sara, and Gordon. They light up the world just as they lit up mine.
I grew up surrounded by the love I felt from my siblings, Theda, Margaret, Claude, Mary, Keith, Belva, Ralph, Margene, and Gerald, who I have missed dearly. We are currently enjoying a Family Reunion on the other side of the veil.
I was also blessed to get many new siblings throughout the years as my siblings married and I married into a wonderful family. Through these additions I leave behind many, my dear Sister-in-law Betty Manning, nieces and nephews that became a big part of my life, many visiting and looking after me after Hank died. We all shared so many good times and helped each other through the hard times in our lives. Remember, love never ends. It continues to grow and blossom, even when we are apart.
I would be very ungrateful if I didn't mention the loving staff at Lotus Park. You "Kids" took such great care of me even though I was not always "Ray of Sunshine". I was happy that I was able to return to my home February 6, 2025, to spend my final hours with all of you at my side.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at Hooper Cemetery on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM. She always loved to hear your stories and see your photos. We invite you to share your memories of your time together and upload photos to her memorial page. Your words and pictures will provide comfort to all and bring smiles.
