OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Cletus "Cecil" Boyte, age 78 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Reverends Jimbo Herring and Kyle Harper will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Cox Funeral Home, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Mr. Boyte passed into eternal life on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Landmark Nursing Home in West Monroe, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann (Hayman) Boyte; father, Claude Ellis Boyte; mother, Catheri(Curry) Boyte Broadway; sister, Linda Rowell; sister, Fay Ashley; and brother, Lawrence Boyte.
Cecil is survived by daughter, Bonnie Elizabeth Lynch of Oak Grove, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Patrick Dobbs of Savannah, Georgia; grandson, Ryker James Lynch of Oak Grove; granddaughter, Cayden Elise Lynch of Conroe, Texas; granddaughter, Macy Dobbs of Savannah, Georgia; granddaughter, Cara Dobbs of Savannah, Georgia; great granddaughter, Leona Jade Serpa of Savannah, Georgia; brother, Claude "Junior" Boyte of Oak Grove; brother, George Ellis Boyte of Oak Grove; sister, Geraldine Easterling of Oak Grove; and sister, Shirley Minton of Oak Grove.
Pallbearers are: Corey Boyte, David Easterling, Jason Harper, Michael Boyte, Kyle Harper, and Larry Boyte.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Greg Easterling and Dwayne Frith.
Family ask that donations be made to the family at 142 Boyte Road, Oak Grove, Louisiana 71263.
