Remembering Clifford Caddell
Mr. Clifford Owen Caddell, 82, of LaFollette, TN passed away on Wednesday July 16, 2025. Clifford was born on February 12, 1943 and raised in LaFollette, TN. He was a loving husband, dad, papaw, pappy, brother, uncle and cousin. He grew up attending Glade Springs Baptist Church where he was a youth leader and went on to become a Deacon in 1976 where he has remained to date. He was very proud to be recognized as a Freemason where he has been a member since 1986. In October 1988 he became a Master of the Royal Secret of the 32nd degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. He loved and provided for his family as a machinist. He was proud of his career and retired from Rexnord in Clinton after 26 years. He enjoyed watching westerns, NASCAR and UT sports in his free time. He was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan.
He is survived by his daughters Deanna (Joe) Stanford of Clinton, Vicki (Les) Williams of Bradyville, Sherry (Bryan) St John of LaFollette; son-in-law Mike Milton of LaFollette; grandchildren Jordan Williams, Miranda (Dustin) Coffey, Hailey (Emby) King, Trevor St John, Victoria Stanford, Gabe St John; great-grandchildren, Landan, Laykan, Leighah, Briella King and Riley, Tucker Coffey; siblings Kyle (Sherry) Caddell of Murfreesboro. Brother and sister-law Jeanie Belle Goins of Florida, Jessie (Rhonda) Longmire of LaFollette, Phyllis Longmars of LaFollette.
He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 61 years Judy Caddell, his daughter Shelly Caddell Milton, his parents Paris and Dean Caddell, grandsons Joshua Williams and Clifford Eric Caddell; siblings Jeanie (Jay) Hatfield, Liz (Orville) Maples, and Carl Caddell; father and mother-in-law Big Bill and Lizzy Longmire; brothers and sisters-in-law Betty Lousie Longmire, Lela Love, Billie (Floyd) Claiborne, JT Longmars, Eugene (Lucy) Longmire, Patsy (Charlie) Turner.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 2:00 PM with funeral services to follow with Rev. Kenny Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Glade Springs Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Alzheimer's Tennessee, 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 or at www.alztennessee.org.
