Ann Marie (Moore) Caddell, age 85 of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, with her daughters and precious dog Snuggles by her side. Ann had battled declining health for years and most especially the last hospitalization of four months; She was a warrior and fought hard to stay with her family. Ann was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Caddell III, with whom she shared a devoted marriage that was just shy of 50 years.
Born in Boston on May 13, 1940, Ann spent her early years in Jamaica Plain before her family moved to Stoughton as a young girl. Ann was a graduate of the class of 1958 from Stoughton High School and became a licensed hairdresser. She was proud to cut the hair of her entire family in her kitchen, along with many special friends and their children. Ann was very proud of her naturally curly hair and did her own hair until she was 83! Ann worked for many years at Andre's Hair Salon in Easton, MA. She was beloved by her clients and was dedicated to them, even picking up her elderly clients that had become shut ins, so they could keep getting their hair done and feel good. Ann left hairdressing and become a Golf Pro Shop attendant at Sharon Country Club for many years, then followed her husband Tom to work with him at Walpole Country Club in the Pro Shop before retiring in 2006.
Ann jogged religiously, regardless of the weather, every morning and prided herself on remaining physically fit and trim with many hours of aerobics. Ann & Tom were known for their nightly walks, hand in hand. In her older years, the jogging turned to walking many miles and added water aerobics three times a week until she was 80. A talented cook and baker, she was known for her lasagna, homemade tomato sauce, pies, cookies, Strawberry Cheesecake and prided herself on always cooking from scratch.
Ann was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Stoughton, until becoming a snowbird with Tom in Lake Worth Florida in 1998, then joining St. Peter's Methodist Church in Wellington. Ann loved Jesus and was active in both churches with Sunday School, Bible Studies and had a very special Bible Study group for the last twenty years in her Bellagio Community. Ann had a love for nature and animals, most especially dogs and bird watching. She would never let a baby or puppy pass her by and always wanted anyone she met to share photos of theirs. She loved Jewelry and her husband would shower her with beautiful pieces for every Birthday, Anniversary and Holiday. She loved to shop and was known as bargain hunter. She was a devoted friend to many close, dear friends that she would have daily, long talks with.
Ann was mostly known for being a devoted and loving wife to the love of her life, Tom Caddell. As a second marriage for both, they were married on Christmas Eve in 1971 at the Bridgewater, MA United Methodist Church and had just shy of 50 years of marriage. Together they raised six children, joining their families and then having their daughter Kathleen. They loved to play Tennis, Golf, ride their bicycles, Cross Country Ski and especially travel. Tom & Ann had wonderful friends they loved to travel with, have vacations with, play annual Tennis Tournaments with and most especially play Crazy 8s with. Ann was known as a fierce competitor! Ann was a devoted Mother and most especially to her special needs daughter, Wendy, always fighting and advocating to make sure Wendy had a full & enriching life and treated like everyone else.
