Such a sad loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike as a class mate at Stonehill College. He was a great man , intelligent and witty. He was also my brother“s next door neighbor for many years in Plymouth. They were good friends and worked out together often lifting weights,
God bless him as he enters Heaven and is reunited with his Mom, and God bless the entire Umano family. Amen.

I had the privilege of being friends with Mike since we were freshmen at Cardinal Spellman. We became best friends by the time we were seniors. The adventures we shared as young men are forever ingrained in me. Our friendship endured all our years. Mike (Sal) his nickname after his dad was extraordinary man whose presence in your life made it better. His value system was second to no one. Mike stood by you in the best and worst of times. He lived his life with honor and was intelligent, funny, caring, loyal, kind, and loving. He cared most about his family as a husband, father and grandfather and loved being home most of all. I will miss my friend greatly who I loved dearly. Heaven just got itself one of our very best, far sooner then we all wanted.
With love and remembrance,
Michael Nickley
