Clifford Remington Kisselburgh, of South Windsor, CT, extraordinary husband, father, son and brother, passed away peacefully at home December 8, 2024.
Cliff was born May 19, 1943, in Athens, NY, and is predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Anne, whom he missed terribly; his mother, Estella Evelyn and father Clifford Edward.
He leaves behind two daughters, Cindy Evelyn Kisselburgh of South Windsor and Dorothy Anne DeBella (Theron DeBella) of Tilton, NH; his granddaughter Alyssa Gonzalez, and his beautiful great granddaughter Lilly LeBeau. He is also survived by his two sisters, Gethen Kisselburgh Proper of Catskill, NY and Beth Kisselburgh Cooley of Carthage, NC.
A man of integrity and character, Cliff was a true gentleman, and a man of his own; loved and respected by everyone who knew him. As a young man, he served his country honorably as a Marine, including duty on the U.S.S. Enterprise during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He worked very hard to support his family and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union until his retirement. Cliff enjoyed hunting with his beagles and fishing on his boat, the "Nan-Sea", on Long Island Sound.
Most of all, Cliff loved spending time with his beloved wife Nancy, who called him her "Knight in Shining Armor". They were married January 22, 1966, and he never took his wedding band off from that day, even after she passed 16 years ago. We know that she was waiting for him with open arms. They spent many years with their adored Yorkies and traveling the country, sightseeing and shopping for antiques together. He spent his golden years attending sprint car races with his buddies, making sure that his yard was perfect, and being the 'go-to' man, working on DIY projects, and fixing you-name-it for neighbors, friends, and family.
A quiet, gentle, giant of a man, Cliff was always prepared, rose to every challenge, and never, ever feared anything. Semper Fi, Dad!
Per Cliff's wishes, there will be no funeral. Family will hold a private memorial service with military honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
