Clifford Eugene Lynch, 88, of Brighton, Missouri, passed away on March 23, 2024. Ambassador, warrior and faithful servant to his Lord Jesus Christ was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on January 24, 1936. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.
Clifford, or Skippy to his Mother and siblings, served in the United States Airforce after the Korean War from 1954-1957. He was a dedicated Electrical Engineer, with a career spanning several television stations and UMKC Dental College, culminating in 26 years of service at KCTV 5 in Kansas City, Missouri.
A devoted member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri for 43 years, Cliff served as a deacon and played a vital role in the bus and children's ministry. He later attended First Baptist Church in Republic, Missouri, where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon before joining First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri in 2023.
Cliff met Letty at Olivet Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas. They married in 1962, and following Cliff's electrical engineering career, they landed in Independence, Missouri. There, they joined Immanuel Baptist Church where Cliff served as a deacon, teacher, and evangelist. He had a huge heart for the Bus Ministry, and it brought him great joy serving so many. He was a skilled carpenter and woodworker, creating beautiful pieces. Cliff captured the beauty and adventure of his life through his interest in photography. He was known for his loving personality, sense of humor, and kind-hearted spirit. His humility and dedication to love those around him overflowed, serving Christ as his testimony.
Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Letty Lynch, and his children Daniel Lynch (Linda), Philip Lynch, and Steven Lynch (Lisa). He leaves behind seven grandchildren (Timothy, Anthony, Sara, Christopher, Joel, Jessica and Heather) and nine great-grandchildren (Hanah, Brantley, Piper, Ella, Everly, Wells, Otto, James and Austin).
Services will be held at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic, Missouri, on Friday, March 29, 2024. Visitation will be from 10-11am, followed by the funeral service from 11am-12pm. A grave site memorial, with full military honors, will take place at Missouri Veterans Cemetary in Springfield MO, at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church 119 N. Springfield Ave, in Bolivar, Missouri 65613, for the Children's Ministry. The family has entrusted Meadors Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St, Republic, Missouri 65738, with the funeral arrangements.
