Clifford Munro Morton

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford Munro Morton, age 88, a devoted husband, cherished father, loyal friend and lifelong enthusiast of the game of golf. He passed away on 10/29/25 surrounded by his family.

Born in El Paso, Texas, Clifford was raised in a military family and lived in Japan as a teenager, and it was there that he took up the sport of golf. After marriage and proudly serving in the United States Air Force he began a long and fulfilling career with United Air Lines in San Francisco, California where he worked for 28 years. Upon retiring, he and his beloved wife moved to Sun City West, Arizona where they happily resided for over 30 years. He had never scored a hole-in-one until he moved to Sun City West, where he made his first-and went on to achieve a total of four holes-in-one in his golfing career.

A natural tinkerer and competitor at heart, he spent countless happy hours building and flying model airplanes, earning recognition in local competitions for his skill and precision. A passionate golfer, he also earned numerous trophies and awards throughout his lifetime, a reflection of both his talent and his love for the game.

Above all, Clifford was devoted to his wife Diane who he was married to for 68 wonderful years. They built a rich life together in love. Clifford is survived by his spouse Diane, two daughters – Donna and Karen and his deceased son Clifford Michael as well as two grandchildren.

May the fairways be smooth and skies calm for Clifford. His kindness, humor and enduring spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
