On May 3rd, 2024, retired Boston Police Officer, Clifton R. Haynes passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones.
Born September 14, 1956, in Bridgetown, Barbados; he eventually settled in Boston Mass, where he had a 32-yearcareer as a proud Boston Police Officer. Throughout his time as an officer, he approached his job with equal amounts of dedication, empathy, and humor.
In 2014 Clifton was diagnosed with Parkinson's but despite the challenges that the disease created for him, he continued to live his life to the fullest, he persevered through it all and taught those closest to him to cherish each moment.
His love and lust for life engulfed his family and closest friends, his generosity and willingness to extend a helping hand to anyone in need was a big part of who he was and how he chose to live his life.
As the extended Haynes family celebrates the life of their son, father, brother, spouse, cousin and friend, they would like to thank everyone for their support and well wishes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. immediately followed by a funeral home service on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the McHoul Family Funeral Home, 354 Adams Street, Dorchester. Burial will take place privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's Disease & Movement Disorder Center at Boston University. https://www.bumc.bu.edu/parkinsonsdisease/
