Clifton Arlen "Clif" Reik

Clifton "Clif" A. Reik, 88, of Mifflintown, formerly of Colorado from 1982 to 1999, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.
Born June 5, 1934, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Olive F. (Garland) Reik.
He is survived by his loving wife, Althea (Suloff) Kauffman Reik, whom he married May 5, 1984, five children, Lee A. Reik of Lake City, Fla., Denise R. Reik of Bordentown, NJ, Sheryl L. Ambrose and husband, David, of Jackson, NJ, Gayle A. Krygier and husband, Stephan, of Lake City, Fla., and Heidi L. Keir and husband, David, of South Lyon, Michigan, four step-children, Kevin E Kauffman and wife, Dianne, of Mifflintown, Darren E. Kauffman and fiancé, Terri Waters, of Mifflin, Danita A. Kauffman of Dauphin, and Chadwin E. Kauffman of Mifflintown, 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one sister, Paula Jane Kirk of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlton G. Reik and Terry A. Reik and an infant sister, Darlene Fay Reik.
Clif graduated from Lewistown High School in 1952 and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956.
He worked for United Airlines for 35 years in aircraft maintenance, retiring as a supervisor.
He was a member of American Legion Post 298 Mifflintown, AARP, AMFA, Sampson Air Force Base Veterans Assoc. Inc. and was Protestant by faith.
He enjoyed tinkering, going to sales and collecting various items, and traveling with his wife.
Until his health declined, he was active in a bowling league in Lewistown. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with his wife at local nursing homes.
His graveside memorial service and interment will be at 11 a.m. on April 1, 2023 at Union Cemetery, Mifflintown, with full military honors accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
