Clinton Donald "Moe" Haislip, a man known for his adventurous spirit, passionate heart, and loving nature, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025 in Aldie, Virginia. Born on December 12, 1955, in Arlington, Virginia, Moe's life was one of dedication, laughter, and boundless love.
A proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Moe's athletic prowess shone brightly during his formative years. He left an indelible mark as a Virginia Wrestling State Champion, a title that spoke not only to his physical strength but also to his determination and discipline. Furthering his education, he attended the University of Rhode Island, where he continued to build a life of purpose and joy.
Moe began his illustrious career in contracting, where his hard work and charisma quickly became apparent. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-own and operate a successful company alongside his valued partner. Under Moe's leadership, the company thrived, a testament to his keen business acumen and the genuine relationships he forged with clients and colleagues alike.
Family was the cornerstone of Moe's life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Linda, a loving father to his daughter, Ashley (Ben), and son, Jake (Monique), and a doting grandfather to Luca, Brielle, Eloise, and Beau. Moe also shared an unbreakable bond with his siblings Det (Lyanne), Pete (Becky), Jim (Carol), Linda (Brent), Mark, and Darla, who each brought unique joy and camaraderie to his life. He also cherished his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and faithful friends. Moe's passion was infectious, and he loved nothing more than sharing his adventures with family and friends.
Moe's legacy will live on through the cherished memories he created with his loved ones and the positive impact he had on his community. Clinton Donald "Moe" Haislip's story is one of a life well-lived and a man well-loved. He was truly a fighter and the way he lived was a testament to his strength and unyielding spirit. There will be a private service honoring Moe in the future.
