DRAPER, Cloyce P. – of Montrose, age 68, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Friday, February 28, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Cloyce was born on December 1, 1956, in Flint, Michigan, to Boyce and Dorothy (Balcolm) Draper. He attended Ainsworth High School and spent 35 years as a manager at Kroger before retiring in 2018. A former member of Westside Church in Flushing, Cloyce enjoyed the simple things in life-working in his yard, tending to his gardens, cheering on the Detroit Lions and U of M football, hunting in Atlanta, and camping at Clear Lake. He was especially proud of his sobriety, recently celebrating 18 months.
Surviving are: Daughters: Amy (Jason) Willingham, Lissa (Dean) Dolliver, Dana Draper, Holly Draper, Nicole Draper, and Cheyenne Draper; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; Father, Rev. Carl Petty; Sister, Bonnie Petty; Brother, Boyce (Melody) Draper; Furry companion, his dog, Ginger. Cloyce was preceded in death by: Daughter, Kelly; Parents, Boyce and Dorothy; Brother, Jake.
