Clyde Lewis Baldwin passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on December 28, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to Clyde Lewis, Sr. and Maxine (Rogers) Baldwin.
Clyde married his high school sweetheart, Mary Emily, and together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. They built a life filled with cherished memories and unwavering support for one another.
Clyde was a proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, class of '66, and he furthered his education at East Texas A&M University, from which he graduated in 1972.
He dedicated his career to serving others as a Hospital Administrator for Baylor Hospital. His leadership and compassion made a significant impact not only within the hospital but also on the lives of countless patients and their families. He also worked for the Security Department at Holly Lake Ranch and was a figure of trust and reliability, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word with anyone in need.
In his personal life, Clyde treasured every moment spent with family. He had a profound passion for history and took joy in sharing this love with those around him. Whether it was a night out at the movies or a shared meal at one of his favorite restaurants, Clyde's laughter and love for life brought happiness to those fortunate enough to be by his side. Additionally, he indulged in collecting his favorite things, a pastime that highlighted his unique interests and made those around him smile.
A long-time resident of Holly Lake Ranch and Hawkins, Clyde was deeply involved in community as a member of the First Baptist Church. His unwavering beliefs and values played a significant role in shaping his character and fostering connections with others in the city.
Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Eric Baldwin and wife Amanda; daughter, Brittney Cain and husband Todd; 4 grandchildren, Collin Carpenter, Kinsey Carpenter, Preston Baldwin and Harrison Baldwin; brothers and sisters in laws, Jeffery and Laura Price, Robert and Mary Jane Smallwood and Johanna Baldwin.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church Youth Ministry in Hawkins.
Services for Clyde will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins on May 18, 2025, at 1:30PM. Interment will be held at Hawkins Cemetery following the service.
