Mr. Clyde Augustus Isley, Jr. was born in Alamance County, NC on July 24, 1947 to Mr. Clyde A. Isley, Sr. and Mrs. Vera True Isley and quietly departed this life on June 8, 2024 at his home. Clyde was educated in the Alamance County School System and graduated in 1965 from Central High School in Graham, NC, Clyde attended Alamance Community College, receiving certifications in Automechanic and Culinary Art. After high school he was drafted into the US Army where he served during the Vietnam Conflict and received an Honorable discharge along with, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and other medals, badges and commendations. He was a member of Children's Chapel UCC, where he once served on the Pastor's Aide, Kitchen Ministry, Male Chorus and was a church greeter. Clyde loved fishing, listening to music and riding his motorcycle, his most recent membership was the 'Prime Tyme Fellaz" Motorcycle Club. And believe it or not but Clyde played the tenor sax in a band once upon time. He was a Master Barber, owned and operated Isley Lawn Care Business and worked most of his employment years at Maxfield Industries. Clyde was a hardworking man and a joy to be around, bringing laughter to everyone that had the pleasure to be in his presence.
The life and legacy of Mr. Clyde Augustus Isley, Jr. will be forever cherished by his dear wife, Novie Jean Pratt Isley; daughter, Lynn Isley Brown (Michael); two grandchildren, Wynston Brown and Sydney Brown; bonus children, Angela Watlington and Kimbly Lee (Donald); siblings, Reginald Isley, Beverly Mebane and Sharon Isley; bonus grandchild,Jalen Watlington; bonus great grandchild, Xyla Watlington and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Marion Isley Evans, and a bonus grandson, Jerrod Watlington.
