Clyde Wayne Nivens, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in Grandview, Texas. Born on October 29, 1935, in Sweetwater, Texas, Clyde lived a life rich with stories, warmth, and an unmistakable zest for life.
Throughout his life, Clyde distinguished himself with his remarkable mechanical skills, a gift that allowed him to fix almost anything. Whether it was the family car, a household appliance, or any number of devices, Clyde's mechanical prowess earned him a reputation as the go-to person for friends and family alike.
Clyde was known as the "Life of the Party." His outgoing nature, combined with a knack for storytelling and humor, brought joy to countless gatherings. Friends and family will remember him not only for his laughter but for his kind and personable demeanor, ensuring that everyone felt included and appreciated.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Iva Nivens; his brother, Odell Nivens; and sisters, Thelma Lee Miller and Ila Bell Solomon Lowell.
Clyde is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Martha E. Nivens; his children, Steven Nivens and wife Lisa, and Troy Nivens; grandchildren, Kyle Nivens and wife Allison, Kaley Bradley and husband Nathen, Tyler Nivens and wife Gaylen, and Tate Nivens; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Nivens, Maci Bradley, Molli Bradley, and Blake Nivens.
Clyde Nivens will be remembered for the love and laughter he brought into the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, humor, and dedication to family will forever resonate in the hearts of his loved ones.
