Clyde Stansberry Obituary

Clyde Stansberry, age 76, of Hill City, Minnesota, passed away August 16, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

Clyde Mark Stansberry was born November 22, 1948 in Helena, Montana to Thomas and Meryle (Peterson) Stansberry. He was raised in Swatara, Minnesota and graduated from Hill City High School. He served his country in the US Army as a helicopter crew chief/door gunner, serving in Vietnam. On July 3, 1970 Clyde married Kathleen Hunt in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After the service he worked for Minntac in Mountain Iron, Minnesota. He worked as a carpenter in between mine jobs, then retired from US Steel. Clyde loved working his garden, flowers, trees, birds, being in the woods and four-wheeling.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathy; son, Mark Stansberry (Michelle Gapinski) and grandchildren, Haley Dagle (Josh Orr) and Brianna Stansberry; stepdaughter, Kristen Russell and granddaughter, Grace Russell; sister, Kay Stansberry; and by several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Aaron Stansberry.

Funeral service at 10:30 AM Friday, September 5, 2025 at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti, Minnesota. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery with the Fort Snelling Honor Guard immediately following the service and lunch. Online condolences can be made at StrikeLifeTributes.com.
