Cody Austin Budro

It is with deep sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Cody Austin Budro, age 31, of Palestine. Cody passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025. He was born on January 24, 1994, in Kilgore, Texas, to his loving parents, Lonnie Budro and Vicki Snyder Budro.
Cody spent most of his life in East Texas, a place he proudly called home. He loved the outdoors and was happiest when he was outside. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and some of his favorite memories were made spending time at the beach with his family. Cody also had a creative and adventurous side. He enjoyed tattooing, skateboarding, and both playing and watching baseball. Cody was a hardworking and determined man. He spent the past twelve years working in the oilfield, where he started out young and worked his way up to becoming a crane operator. He took pride in his work and in the life he was building. Cody will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, and his free spirit. He leaves behind memories that will be cherished and a presence that will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Denise Suggs; his grandparents, James and Wanda Higgins; two uncles; and one aunt.
Cody is lovingly remembered by his wife, Madison Budro of Palestine; his parents, Lonnie Jr. and Vicki Budro of Chandler; his sisters, Brandi Budro Stokes (and husband Stephen) of Chandler, Courtney Boyd (and husband John Paul) of Chandler, Melanie Budro of Austin, and Jessica Budro of Chandler. He is also survived by his nieces, Lilly Boyd, Sophie Boyd, and Haylee Boyd; his nephew, Wyatt Boyd; his mother-in-law, Sheila Richardson; father-in-law, Michael Walker (and wife Kim); his brothers-in-law, Luke Walker, Brady Richardson, and Maverick Richardson; his sister-in-law, Ashlyn Richardson; his grandparents, Jeff Snyder and Linda Walker; aunt and uncle Riley and Lori Higgins, as well as numerous other family members, friends, and loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Herrington Funeral Home in Palestine, Texas. Funeral services will be held at Evangelistic Temple on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with Darryl Conner officiating. Interment will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery.
A gathering will follow at the Sunrise Shores Community Center in Chandler, TX.
