Cole O'Brien Obituary
Cole was born on July 18, 1997, in Barnstable, MA. Cole grew up in Sandwich and was a graduate of Sandwich High School. After high school, Cole worked as an installer for Sandwich Fireplace, he also spent time working for Threshold Giving, raising money for Boston Children's Hospital.
Cole was a lover of adventure and life, an incredible snowboarder, and enjoyed playing golf. He enjoyed EDM Music and Concerts (specifically Griz), his special interests included pizza and ranch dressing (if you know you know), but most of all he loved spending time with family, friends, and his cat, Pringles.
Cole is survived by his parents, Crystal Oldfield Dube, and her husband, Michael Dube, of Forestdale, MA, and James O'Brien, and his wife, Lorena O'Brien, of Cotuit, MA; his siblings, Christian O'Brien, of Sandwich, MA, and Taylor DeLorenzo, and her husband, Christopher Delorenzo, of Rye, NH; his stepsister Danielle Mendes, of Bourne, MA; his grandparents, Peter and Marie O'Brien of Norwood, MA, and Kenneth and Donna Davis, of Harwich, MA; his special uncle, Alan Oldfield; his cousins, who were more like bonus siblings, Ryan Oldfield, Ali Oldfield and Jake Kangas. As well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his family by choice, not by chance, Kat Rodrigue, Adam Shervo, Tori Henry, Alex Clifford, and Andrew Rambur, and many others.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 74 Algonquin Ave. (RTE 151), in Mashpee. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00 am at Cotuit Federated Church, 40 School Street, Cotuit, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated by the family to be made to Parents Supporting Parents, PO Box 992, Monument Beach, MA 02553, or online at www.parentsfightingaddiction.org/donate.
