Coleman Wade Jr., age 76, of Jay, peacefully passed away at home on August 4, 2025, and went to be with his Lord and Savior.
Born on July 20, 1949, in Century, Florida, Coleman dedicated his professional life as an Insurance Agent with Liberty National and served honorably in the US Army Reserves. An avid fisherman and hunter, Coleman cherished time spent with friends and family. He was also a member of Jay First Baptist Church.
Coleman was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Jane Brooks Wade; father, Coleman G. Wade Sr.; and sisters, Mary Florence Crosby and Betty Jo Wade.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Thompson Wade, and their children: Amy Hatfield (Vince), Stephanie Williamson (Joey), Melissa Unterreiner (Curt), and Steve Wade (Anna). He was a proud grandfather to Pam Fornwalt, James Hatfield, Olivia Fornwalt, Caleb Householder, Justin Murphy, Emily Hatfield, Gavin Unterreiner, and Bryce Wade.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jay Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cora Baptist Church in Jay, Florida, followed by burial at the church cemetery.
Those honored as pallbearers include Coleman's son, grandsons, and sons-in-law.
