Mr. Colin White, age 79, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born March 22, 1946, in Mena, Arkansas, to parents, Roy and Edith White.
Colin retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 33 years in his position. After retirement he worked as a carpenter, building homes for the next 10 years. He was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, hunting, fishing, gardening, and was an avid sports fan. He especially loved attending his children's and grandchildren's ball games. He was always ready to watch the Razorbacks. He took pride in his farm, cattle, and in caring for them. Colin was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was married to his wife Hilda for 45 years. He talked often about the day they would be reunited.
Mr. Colin White is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Edith White, his beloved wife, Hilda, and by his siblings, Sue Harris and Jerry White. He is survived by his children, Brian White (Tanya), Jared White (Becca), Leah Cannon, Jamie McMahen (Clayton); grandchildren, Dustin White, Olivia Cannon (Nolan), Cadie Myers (Nick), Avery Cannon, Emma McMahen, Lane McMahen and Lyla McMahen; great-grandchildren, Paige, Daxton, Clara, and Emery; sisters, Connie Golden, Gale Harris (Troy).
Services for Mr. Colin White will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2025, at Salem Baptist Church in Nunley, Arkansas, under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the White Oak Cemetery in Mena, Arkansas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Beasley-Wood Chapel in Mena, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Sam Crees, Jason Harris, Kyle Walker, Rob McMellon, Dustin White, and Junior White. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Mitchell, Bill Bliss, Joe Paul Sirmon, Mike White, Chad Golden, and Jamie Williams.
