Obituary
Colleen Bernadette Cronin, 64, of Destin, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on June 11, 2023, after a long struggle with COPD. She was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on November 12, 1958, to Ethel and Herbert Cronin.
Colleen was an avid artist with a special gift for oil and watercolor painting. She attended York Technical Institute in York, Pennsylvania, and worked as a draftsman. She ultimately became an entrepreneur and went on to own a prominent auction company in Illinois for several years. Colleen loved to collect antiques, and later in life, showcased her creativity by gifting homemade crafts and paintings to her friends and family. She was a passionate animal lover, and had a special knack for cultivating (and rescuing) plants of any kind.
Having lived in various places throughout the country, "Grandma CiCi" finally settled in Destin to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Fuchsia McInerney of Destin, Florida; her grandchildren, Sean, Aedan, and Eva McInerney; her six siblings; and her beloved cocker spaniel, Carlo.
A celebration of her life will be held in Destin, Florida with details to be determined.
