Colleen Dowdy Ferrell, 96, of High Point, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at her home.

She was born November 23, 1929, in Guilford County to the late Earl Dowdy, and the late Edna Beal Dowdy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kerney Ferrell; son-in-law, Ray Libertore, and her brothers, Bill Dowdy and Don Dowdy.

Those left to cherish her memory; her daughters, Linda Libertore of High Point, and Deborah Ferrell of Thomasville; grandchildren, Christopher Libertore (Luanne), Brad Libertore (Erica), Steven Hooper (Bella), and Stephanie Jacobs (Thomas Rewoldt); great grandchildren, Aaron Libertore, Marcus Libertore, Madeline Libertore, Eva Libertore, Emelia Libertore, Lindsey Dockery (Chris), Taylor Shipe (Brian), Ryan Hooper, Courtney Jacobs, Haley Jacobs, Natalie Jacobs, Jackson Rewoldt, Brooklyn Rewoldt, and Emma Rewoldt; and her great-great grandchildren, Maylee, Lilly, Lathan, Grady, Bo, Riley, Londyn, Journey, Kason and Skyler.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Friday, January 16, 2026, in the Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point chapel with CW Moss officiating.

Burial will follow in the Floral Garden Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends 12:00-12:45PM prior to the service.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
