Colleen was born to Archie and Hester Robinson on October 31, 1931. She grew up with six siblings in Mountain Green, Utah. She passed away peacefully in her home in South Ogden on February 8, 2024.
She married LeRoy Melvin Kapp on September 29, 1950, in Mountain Green and they were later sealed with their two children in the Salt Lake Temple on October 12, 1961. Mom and Dad were married for over 72 years before his passing on January 5, 2023.
She later returned to college and earned her BA degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in the Weber School District for 15 years. She absolutely loved teaching her students and always talked about her teaching with pride. After she retired, she continued to help her grandchildren as well. She was the best grandma ever and spent countless hours creating so many memories with them. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren so much and they loved her!
Colleen is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many church positions on the ward and stake levels. She had a deep testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her love for God and America were unwavering.
Colleen is survived by her children, Julie (Reuben) Cunningham and Mark (Kristin) Kapp; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ilene Kellogg from Sandy, Utah-whom she raised as her own, and her brother, Gary (Connie) Robinson from Austin, Texas. We love you mom and will miss you greatly!
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
