Colleen M. McManus, of Bethel, beloved mother of Patrick J. Ness III and Maddison McManus, passed at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, May 11th after a brief illness. She was born in Stamford on October 17, 1967, daughter of Harry McDonnell, Sr. and the late Carol (Bang) Pace.
Colleen spent over twenty years accomplished in her role as a Personal Care Aide, who touched many lives by providing exceptional care for those she looked after. She was well known and loved by her clients and those she worked with.
Colleen enjoyed traveling, reading and solving puzzles, you could often find her feeding the birds and caring for her cat Macey. Colleen had a strong and loving heart, she cared deeply about her family and friends. Her legacy will live on through the memories we shared and the love she gave. We take solace knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who had gone before her.
In addition to her father, Harry and children, Patrick and Maddy, she is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan and Thomas Ness; her brothers, Michael J. Sweeney and Harry Zaremski; her sister, Carol Pace; her aunt, Susan Mazza; her many nephews, nieces and cousins; and her former husband, James McManus.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, May 18th between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00pm.
