Collie Alton "Peter Rabbit" Powell, Jr. of Chesterfield, VA passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the age of 64. He was born in Charlotte County, VA on September 5, 1960 to Collie Alton Powell Sr and Catherine Seamster Comer.
Collie was employed as a contractor in building houses and loved his work. He enjoyed shooting guns, fishing and the outdoors. He was a very likeable, respectable person and treated everyone right and honest.
He is survived by a son, Joey Powell of Dayton, Ohio; daughter, Stephanie Newcomb (John) of Amelia, VA; 4 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 1 great granddaughter; brother, Michael Dale Powell (Wanda); uncle & aunt, Ira seamster, Jr (Judy) and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Wayne Powell.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 26 2025 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
