Collin R. Williams, age 44, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, April 27, 2023. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.
Collin was born on October 8, 1978, in Canton, Ohio the fourth of four boys to Dr. Richard "Dick" & Dawn E. (Shoemaker) Williams.
He graduated from Heritage Christian School and the University of Akron, where he studied finance and accounting.
He is survived by his parents, his three brothers, Mark (Laura), Matthew (Susi), and Dylan (Amy); his uncle and aunt Lamar and Marge Shoemaker; nephews Corbin Williams and Michael Williams; nieces Morgan Belliveau, Bayli Williams, Hope Williams, Mila Williams, Charity Williams, and Jenta Williams; great nephews Cade Belliveau and Brody Belliveau; and great niece Berlin Belliveau and numerous extended family.
Collin was a gentle and loving soul and was well-regarded by his neighbors and friends in Massillon. An Eagle Scout, Collin could be counted on to help jump start vehicles in cold weather or to help elderly neighbors carry their groceries into their apartments. Collin enjoyed watching sports and hiking, and he could always be relied on for his quirky and wry humor.
A private graveside service will be held for members of the family with a celebration of life planned for a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Collin's name to the Wilderness Center, 9877 Alabama Ave SW, Wilmot, Ohio, 44689. Arrangements are entrusted to Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home 4041 Cleveland Ave S. Canton, OH 44707. Friends and family may share condolences and memories online at www.sandersfuneralhomes.com
