Colline Crawford, age 86, of Hazlehurst passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

Mrs. Crawford was born September 15, 1939 in Appling County to the late Jimmie Vernon Johnson and the late Mattie Lee Johns Johnson Tompkins. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and was a retired supervisor for the burling department at Hazlehurst Mills.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Preston Crawford, son, Gary Crawford, grandson, Brandon Rowell, stepfather, Jerome Tompkins, sister, Wilma Johnson, Ivylon Griffin, and brothers, Howard Johnson, Earl Johnson and a stillborn brother.

Survivors include her daughters, Jean (Lamar) Lott of Douglas and Brenda (Ron) Newman of Hazlehurst; sons, Jeffery (Aleesia) Crawford, Collin (Betty Sue) Crawford and Carroll Crawford all of Hazlehurst; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Oakland Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Hulett officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Bruce Johnson, Allen Crawford, Justin Fisher, Bryson Crawford, Walt Hendrix, Dylan Brewer, and Ashton Crawford.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
