Concetta “Connie” Carpino, 92, of East Kingston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in her home. She was born on May 14, 1932, in East Kingston, the daughter of the late John and Rose (Garafalo) Guido. In 1951 she married the love of her life, Ralph “Sonny” Carpino. Ralph passed away in 1997. She worked for Sid Halpern as a seamstress/sewing machine operator for many years until her retirement.
Connie is survived by sister, Dolores McCauley of Kingston, her children, Michael Carpino of Houston, TX, and Melinda Birzenieks (Mikelis) of Kingston, her granddaughters, Rebecca McAllister (Justin) of Livingston, TX, and LeighAnne Corrigan of Kingston, her great-grandsons, Olen and Jack McAllister, her dearly-loved cousin, Louise Jones, as well as many nieces & nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her infant daughter, Roseanne, her son, John, and her siblings, Gabriel, Anthony, Ralph, Joseph, John, and Angelina. The family would like to especially thank her nephew Joseph Guido for his many visits that brought her so much joy, and to Phara and Shahida who took such wonderful care of her over the last year.
Arrangements are entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston. A private burial service will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston. No flowers, please, but for those who wish, contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to Rosemary D. Gruner Memorial Cancer Fund, 144 Pine Street, Suite 220, Kingston, NY 12401
