Concetta "Connie" L. Rhead, 89, of Wharton, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Merry Heart Nursing Home, Succasunna. She was born in Dover to the late Orlando and Mary Saporitola.
Connie graduated from Dover High School and worked as a Secretary for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, Parsippany. She was a former President of the Ladies Auxiliary Wharton Fire Department. Connie was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, putting her family above everything.
She is survived by her loving husband James A. Rhead, Sr. of 66 years; three children Kathleen and her husband Alfred Tinsman, Mary Jo and her husband Thomas Wilk and James A. Rhead, Jr. and his wife Elyse; six grandchildren Kelly and her husband Wilbert Thomas, Nicole and her husband Michael Farina, Danielle and her husband Timothy Tedesco and Dylan Wilk and his wife Jaclyn, Grace Rhead and Jack Rhead; four great-grandchildren Giuliana, Harper, Luca and Liliana; two sisters Joanne and Mary Jane; along with many other loving family members. She is predeceased by her parents; sister Marilyn; and her son baby James.
