Concetta "Connie" Shamie (nee: Vitale); Age 75 of Warren, Michigan passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Ascension Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. She was born to Rocco and Florence Vitale (nee: Williams) on March 5, 1949 in Highland Park, Michigan.
Connie will be interned at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 17100 Van Dyke Ave., Detroit, Michigan 48234 at 10:00 am on Friday, July 26, 2024.
Beloved wife of Charlie Shamie. Connie and Charlie shared a remarkable love story that began when they met through the classifieds of the Detroit Free Press. Despite humble beginnings, their bond grew stronger with each passing year.
Connie was not only a devoted wife but also a loving stepmother to Charlie's son, Chris. Her warmth and kindness extended to their entire family, and she cherished her role as step-grandmother to Ethan and Sawyer.
After settling in Warren, Connie made their house a home, filling it with love and laughter. Her cooking, especially after she retired, was a source of joy for Charlie and their loved ones. She treated Charlie like a king, always putting his happiness and comfort above all else.
Connie's impact on Charlie's life was profound and lasting. She turned his world around from the moment they celebrated their first Christmas together. Their journey was marked by deep love, mutual respect, and unwavering companionship.
In Connie's passing, Charlie finds solace in their cherished memories and the love they shared. Her presence in his life was irreplaceable, and he knows he will never find another woman quite like Connie.
Connie Shamie will be fondly remembered for her gentle spirit, unconditional love, and the profound joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished forever.
