Thomas Edward Hirth "Pondy"; Age 83 of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at Church of Christ Care Center in Clinton Township, Michigan.
He was born on November 10, 1941 to Edward and Marie Kirschling (nee: Bisby) in Detroit, Michigan. He was adopted by August Hirth, July 28, 1949 and united as a family by marriage with his mother Marie Hirth followed by his siblings, Michele and Blaise Hirth. He graduated from Cass Tech High School in Detroit, Michigan. Thomas established a deliver service called Wells Fargo in the early 1970's and was an accomplished architectural designer and artist. Pondy ministered to prisoners in Detroit, Michigan. He was a parishioner at St. Ronald Catholic Community.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11 AM (Visitation 10 AM) at St. Ronald Catholic Church, 17701 15 Mile Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. Fr. William J. Herman will officiate.
Thomas "Pondy" is survived by sister, Michele B. Sollars and brother, Blaise M. (Renee) Hirth, Sr. Dear friend of the late Joyce Zielke. and dearly missed by her daughter, Andrea Shields and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
