Connie Anderson was born on May 14, 1927, to the late Lillie Campbell Dunlap and the late Julius Dunlap in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. She was educated in the Spartanburg County School System.
Connie worked faithfully as a dietician manager for Carver High School and Carver Junior High School. She also served as a devoted care professional to the Stone and Blake families, where her kindness and dedication were deeply appreciated.
She was a loving and selfless woman who would do anything for her family and others. Known for her sass, strength, and sense of humor, Connie was a woman of great faith and a phenomenal cook. She enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers, loved getting her hair done, and delighted in watching football. Her favorite color was red.
She was a devoted member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Pauline, South Carolina, where she faithfully served as the mother of the Church. She was also a proud member of the Jolly 16 Social Club.
She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her brothers, Victor Dunlap and Joe Dunlap.
Left to cherish her loving memory are her children: Elisha "Lish" Anderson of Spartanburg, SC; Elisher (Roberta) Anderson, Jr. of Richmond, VA; Clarence Anderson of Perth Amboy, NJ; and Anita Anderson of Spartanburg, SC; thirteen grandchildren; a bonus son, Michael Cathcart; a special friend, Dewey Fowler; a family friend, Krista Stone; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Connie transitioned peacefully from this life. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered for the love, laughter, and faith she shared with all who knew her.
