Connie Baclig

Connie Baclig, 76, a Chualar resident for over 40 years, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 8, 1948 in Pasay, Philippines.
Connie immigrated to the United States in 1962. Connie graduated from Edison High School in 1967 and later from San Joaquin Delta College in 1969. That same year, she started her career as an airline stewardess for TWA. She later became the founder and owner of Connies Oldies But Goodies up until her retirement in 2015.
She loved hosting family gatherings, cooking, outdoor activities, sports, and traveling. Connie was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Connie was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Survivors: She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Chris) Simmons of Las Vegas, Vanessa Baclig of Los Angeles, Melissa Avila of Salinas; brother, Raymond Patricio; sister, Dora Crescini; grandchildren, Chris Jr., Kaila, Quinn, Perry, Robert Jr., Max, Cash, and Vera.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Baclig Jr., in 2009 and her mother, Rosario Patricio, in 2021.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:30pm, followed by a Catholic Rosary from 2:30pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Struve and Laporte Funeral Home, 41 West San Luis Street, Salinas, CA 93901.
Mass will be held at 9:30am on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 22 Stone Street, Salinas, CA 93901.
Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907.
