It is with great sadness that the family of Connie Kaye Bartholomay, 58, announce her passing on Thursday, October 2, 2025 in her home in Sheldon, ND. Connie was born in Wadena, MN on June 8, 1967 to Otto and Inga (Wait) Hepokoski.

Connie was a "Spud" at Moorhead High School when she met her husband Shawn Bartholomay during their teenage years. Connie went on to marry Shawn in 1989 and have daughter Kayla Elaine. They lived briefly in Fargo, ND before moving to "the boonies" in rural Sheldon, ND the year following their marriage.

Connie and Shawn raised three amazing daughters and were recently blessed with their first grand-daughter.

Connie was incredibly compassionate and warm. She loved her family and had lifelong friendships with many incredible people. Anyone who met Connie was drawn to her warmth and amused by her wit. She loved spending time with her daughters and grand-daughter, planting and caring for her flowers, feeding and watching her birds, creating cozy lives for her beloved dogs and her many farm cats, and cooking and baking for her family and friends. Everything Connie did was with love.

Connie's love is forever woven into the lives of her husband, Shawn Bartholomay; daughters Kayla (Sam) Nayes, Mariah Bartholomay, and Jacqueline Johnston; grand-daughter Aubrey Nayes; brothers Gary (Marie) Larson and family, and Jim (Lynn) Larson and family, sister Sharee (Jim) Larson and family; brother- and sister-in-law Paul (Tammy) Bartholomay and Amy (Norm) Cole and family.

Connie is now dancing with her parents Otto and Inga (Wait) Hepokoski, sisters Nancy Johnson and Debbie Larson, brother Kevin Larson and nephew Jason Larson, grandparent Otto Hepokoski Sr. and family, parents-in-law Ron & Sharon Bartholomay and Gail Evans, and grandparents-in-law Eugene and Arlene Strand.

A Traditional Irish Quote:

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal."
