Connie Blea Obituary
A lover of travel, Connie explored destinations such as Cancun, Las Vegas, and California, creating cherished memories along the way. She had a green thumb and took pride in her gardening skills, filling her home with beautiful flowers and plants.
In her free time, Connie enjoyed dancing and listening to music, often singing along to her favorite songs on the radio. She also had a passion for gambling and even owned her own slot machine, adding excitement to her leisure time.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Blea, by her parents, Josephine Roybal and Joe Medina, her sister, Dorothy Lucero and her brother, Leroy Montoya. She is survived by her brother, Robert Medina and sister, Connie Ruiz, as well as her children, Angel (and Dan Sr.) Cordova, Robert M. Blea II, Roberta (and David) Munoz, Ronnie Blea Sr (and Laurie) Blea, Yvonne (and Gino) Lovato as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Connie will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will always remember her as a kind-hearted and spirited individual with a strong faith in the Lord. May she rest in peace. A Celebration of Life is planned at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for April 24, 2024. The Eulogy will start at 10:30am with reception to follow at 11:00am. Please meet at Cabrini Hall, which is located in the Parish Center. 11385 Grant Street Northglenn, CO. 80233.

I grew up spending almost every summer of my childhood with you. I remember the big moments but also the small ones. Like how you ate a fresh jalapeño with your scrambled eggs for breakfast. And making an overwhelming amount of buñuelos. The wholesome taste of your Spanish rice which none of us have been able to replicate. And our walks to the corner store to buy crackerjacks and a Squeezit. As a got older, I enjoyed our chats and learning about your life. You were the only grandparent to see me get married and celebrate my educational milestones.
Thank you for the influence you had on me. Love you, grandma.

This is not my first memory but I always thought it was funny how my Mom (Mattie Palmer) and Mrs. Blea always called each other Mrs. Palmer and Mrs. Blea and they were almost the same age. It was a respect thing. Also, on my Mom's 80th birthday we picked Mrs. Blea up for the birthday party and she was jamming in the back seat of the car.
